June 20, 2013 - 'Syrian Rebels: We've Received Heavy Weapons from Saudis':
The first delivery of heavy weapons has arrived on Syria’s front lines following President Barack Obama’s decision to put Western military might behind the official opposition, rebels told the British Daily Telegraph. More have now arrived, confirming reports that the White House has lifted an unofficial embargo on its Gulf allies sending heavy weapons to the rebels. “We now have supplies from Saudi Arabia,” a rebel source said. “We have been told more weapons are on their way, even higher-end missiles.” European Union foreign ministers agreed at the end of May to lift an arms embargo in order to supply weapons to Syrian rebels, but British Foreign Secretary William Hague said at the time that "no immediate decision" would be made on sending arms to the rebels. "Terrorists will return to Europe with fighting experience and extremist ideologies," President Assad told the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
November 7, 2013- Saudi Arabia to spend millions to train new rebel force - Syrian, Arab and western sources say the intensifying Saudi effort is focused on Jaysh al-Islam (the Army of Islam or JAI), created in late September by a union of 43 Syrian groups. Diplomats and experts warned that there are serious doubts about its prospects as well as fears of "blowback" by extremists returning from Syria. The Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, is also pressing the US to drop its objections to supplying anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles to the JAI. Jordan is being urged to allow its territory to be used as a supply route into neighbouring Syria. (The Guardian)

The campaign reportedly entailed imprisoning, killing, and raping African and Asian migrants within its borders and provoked a violent protest by some migrants in the capital.

December 3, 2013 - The Saudi Arabian and Western 'Civil War' in Syria...
Saudi officials have said they are now fighting two wars in Syria: One against the regime, and the other against the growing ranks of al Qaeda-allied fighters flocking to the battlefield. Bandar bin Sultan, the Saudi prince overseeing his country's support for the rebels, vowed to kill both Mr. Assad and extremists among the rebels. For most of the past two years, Saudi Arabia concentrated its support on the more secular, nationalist force of the so called Free Syrian Army. During that time, the kingdom spent $400 million on arms and equipment funneled to the force, according to the Western diplomat briefed by Saudis. The Saudis are now pinning much of their hopes in Syria on a strengthening 'rebel force' called Jaish al-Islam, or Army of Islam. Qatar arranged a meeting between the Saudi Arabian Islamists and envoys from the U.S., the U.K., France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other members of the London 11 on the outskirts of the Turkish capital Ankara. ‘NATO, Russian Foreign Ministers Support Syria Peace Talks’
November 15, 2010: U.S. President Barack Obama praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for urging his cabinet to accept a U.S. proposal to extend a freeze on West Bank settlement building for 90 days. Under the plan, Washington would block UN resolutions critical of Israel, and supply Israel with fighter jets worth $3 billion. The US government also promised Israel that after the 90-day moratorium, they would not seek an extension, and settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem (all of which is illegal under international law) could continue unabated.
February 2011: More than 100 nations voted for a U.N. resolution that would have condemned illegal Israeli settlements and halted any new construction. The United States vetoed it.
February 19, 2011: Israel said it was deeply grateful to the United States after it vetoed a United Nations resolution put forward by the Palestinian leadership condemning Israeli settlement activity.

French authorities dismantle network that recruited and sent terrorists to Syria
Nov 16, 2013 Paris, (SANA) – French authorities dismantled a network that had been recruiting and sending terrorists to Syria under the name of "jihadists" to fight alongside terrorist groups.
An informed source said that the French authorities arrested four men aged between 22 and 35 have been arrested on Tuesday in Paris as part of an operation to dismantle this network.
One of the arrested men who is suspected to be the leader of the network was arrested in Vitry-sur-Seine by counter-espionage detectives as part of investigation that started in summer, as this man has been in contact with elements that facilitate the transport of the jihadists.
Investigations revealed that at least two of the other men went to Syria to fight alongside the Al Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra. Three of the arrested individuals were born in France and the fourth was born in Morocco, but their nationalities haven't been specified.
A woman was also arrested briefly and released later.
A source close to the case said that French authorities have information on around 440 people from France who either are currently fighting in Syria, planning to go and fight in it, or had recently returned from it.
The source added that around half of these terrorists are still in Syria, and that around 12 of them have been killed and 2 were arrested in Syria, while around 50 to 60 returned to France.
Israel plans ‘unprecedented’ settlement expansion, 20,000 new units in the West Bank
Adam Horowitz on November 12, 2013
Haaretz reports on a massive expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank which reporters Chaim Levinson and Barak Ravid describe as “unprecedented” in recent years. Peace Now Director Yair Oppenheimer says the new tenders reveal Israel’s intention in the occupied territories, regardless of whatever negotiations are taking place.
The [peace] talks are only for show. Behind the scenes, the government plans to destroy all chance of the two-state solution and flood the area with new settlements. The issue of the tenders is unequivocal evidence of Netanyahu’s intention of sabotaging the chances for an agreement.
The new tenders originally included over a thousand units in the E1 area which would connect Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem to the large settlement Ma’ale Adumim, effectively cutting the West Bank in half. President Obama has said that Israeli expansion in E1 “would be very difficult to square with a two-state solution,” and Netanyahu ordered a freeze on the E1 tenders after they were issued, apparently wanting to avoid even more confrontation with the U.S.
More from Haaretz:
The Housing Ministry has issued a tender to hire an architect to plan the construction of 1,200 housing units in the E1 area, which links Jerusalem and Ma’aleh Adumim in the West Bank, as part of a larger wave of tenders to construct some 20,000 housing units in the West Bank at a cost of NIS 45 million.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was updated on the plan earlier Tuesday and shortly afterward ordered to freeze all construction plans in the E1 area. Officials in Netanyahu’s office told Housing Minister Uri Ariel that he must immediately halt the tender for selecting an architect to plan the project in E1.
The broader plan of some 20,000 housing units encompasses several urban areas, as well as the Binyamin Regional Council and Gush Etzion. This is an unusually large and unprecedented planning tender in the last decade. The tenders are for planning only – some are skeleton plans, some are in a general urban building scheme and others in a detailed urban building scheme.

Along one side the West wants a puppet government in Syria and delivers constantly weapons to the terrorists and opposition fighting the Syrian government.
On the other hand, it makes publicity for its 'Global Poverty Project' by advertising mass vaccination campaigns simultaneously in Syria and other countries (Iraq, Pakistan,).
That's pure hypocrisy because polio is a result of a lack of hygienic conditions (water, food).
It is therefore that the Syrian Health Minister, Dr. Saad al-Nayef, has requested the International Concerned organizations to demand the economic embargo on Syria lifted as it targets the health, food and medicine of the Syrian children.
Let us wait and see if Western organizations and government leaders dare to be honest...
'Secretary General thanks Belgium for its contribution as a reliable Ally'
Brussels, 17 Dec. 2012
The NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen congratulated Belgium for its important role in NATO-led operations during a meeting with the Belgian Prime Minister Elio di Rupo and Defence Minister Pieter De Crem.
"Your soldiers and trainers in Kabul and Kunduz do an outstanding job. Your jet fighters provide necessary air cover for ISAF troops in Kandahar, “ Mr Fogh Rasmusssen said. “Their work makes a valuable contribution to our goa, to make sure that Afghan troops and police can take full charge of their country’s security by the end of 2014. And due to their courage and dedication, we are making steady progress." The NATO Secretary General also thanked Belgium for its commitment to Afghanistan after 2014.
Mr Fogh Rasmussen welcomed Belgium’s recent decision to deploy fighter jets on a new four-month air policing mission over Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia next September. This is the third time that Belgium is taking up such a mission as part of an Allied rotation. The Secretary General stressed that overall, Belgium’s contributions are even more valuable as they are made in difficult economic times, when Allies have to spend more effectively together. He said that Belgium is playing an important role in multinational projects including NATO’s AWACS surveillance aircraft, and highlighted the country’s cooperation with the Netherlands and Luxembourg, calling it “Smart Defence in action.”
Mr Fogh Rasmussen thanked the Belgian Prime Minister for his country’s commitment to NATO and for its great hospitality for NATO’s Headquarters, present and future.

Belgian jihadists and weapons made in Belgium
Meanwhile, the Belgian State Security "has not confirmed" the rumor that Belgian jihadists are fighting in Syria. The newspapers 'Het Belang van Limburg' and 'Gazet van Antwerpen' argued the opposite: "The State Security confirmed the presence of Belgian terrorists in Syria". Originally the Flemish newspapers relied on a report by Reuters, dated July 31th 2012, citing statements from "several rebel commanders in the north-west Syria," according to which "Muslims in Great Britain, Belgium and the United States had joined the Free Syrian Army (SLA)". On July 13th, Reuters pointed out a flood "of thousands of assault rifles Belgian FN FAL was in the hands of the rebels". In its annual reports, the Belgian State Security explains how and why she follows people attracted by fighting abroad: there was attention for Iraq, then, from 2010, to the movement towards Pakistan-Afghanistan border area; Finally, most recently, to new locations: "If the Afghan-Pakistan area, more than Iraq, was still popular in 2010 with the majority of volunteers for jihad", the Belgian State Security wrote in his latest report, "some of them began to plot their way to Yemen, Somalia and the Caucasus". And Syria now? "Obviously. Where they are beaten, those who return and who actually participated in the fighting have gained knowledge on how to handle weapons, strategy and tactics of war," noted the Belgian State Security yesterday. "This is the central reason for the Belgian concern".
A list of the top 24 countries, among the more than three dozen that are currently involved in sending weapons to Syria to achieve a puppet government include: USA, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrain, UK, France, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Portugal, Poland, Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, and Argentina.
Nearly two-thirds of the above listed arms suppliers are members of NATO and constitute almost half of NATO’s 28 country membership.
Belgian Senator Nele Lijnen said that she intends to launch a discussion at the Belgian Senate regarding the fact that the terrorists in Syria possess weapons made in Belgium.
